The opening season of the Artscape concert series begins Sunday, Feb. 27 and will be livestreamed from Collins Park in Miami Beach. But visitors can also come to Collins Park for the celebration, which will be outdoors and have all the proper protocols in place.

"Brazilian Carnaval!" is the theme for the Artscape opener presented by Global Arts Project and the Collins Park Neighborhood Association.

Brazilian and Latin flavors will be the sounds of the day. Opening will be DJ Alex Guitierez, then its showtime as Paulo Gualano Brazilian Drum Troupe and Samba Dancers liven things up.

Gualano is a perfectionist and proud of it. He insists on authenticity and quality in all of his presentations. Organizers of the event promise that the atmosphere will be Carnaval!

Gualano has created presentations for former President Clinton and 34 international leaders at the Summit of the Americas, Super Bowl in 1998, 2010 and 2020.

Gualano says get ready for a festival like no other in Collins Park.

  • Enjoy outdoor art activies for all ages presented by The Bass Museum from 2 to 4 p.m.
  • Music starts at 4 p.m. in Collins Park and the show is from 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Facebook or Youtube.
