'Dolly,' 'Hamilton' Set Miami Series

2019 Season Brings Big Great White Way Hits To Arsht Center

Bette Midler won't be coming to Miami, but the 2017 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival "Hello, Dolly! is. Betty Buckley will play the marvelous matchmaker on the national tour. There's also "Hamilton," yes, that hard-to-get-a-ticket show can be yours. The best way to guarantee your seat for that is to purchase a season subscription to the 2018-2019 Broadway in Miami at The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (@arshtcenter).

 It's a multi-show subscription package that includes, besides "Dolly!" and "Hamilton," "Irving Berlins White Christmas (playing at Christmas, Dec. 25 to 30), and another Tony Award winner "Come From Away."  The 2018-19 Broadway in Miami season also includes "Les Miserables," "Waitress," "School of Rock," and that perennial favorite "The Lion King."

OK. Let's go back to "Hamilton." Subscribers from the 2018-19 season will have first access to the hit when renewing their subscription for the 2019-20 season. Information regarding dates of when it comes to Miami (we don't have that yet, but will get post it as soon as we do) and how to purchase groups and single tickets will be announced at a later time

The original hit features original music and lyrics by six-time Grammy® nominee Sara Bareilles ("Brave," "Love Song"), a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson ("I Am Sam"), choreography by Lorin Latarro ("Les Dangereuse Liasons," "Waiting for Godot") and direction by Tony Award® winner Diane Paulus ("Hair," "Pippin," "Finding Neverland").

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's beloved film, "Waitress" tells the story of Jenna - a waitress and expert pie maker. Jenna dreams of a way out of her small town and loveless marriage.
