Miami Latin Gay Film Festival Launches with four-day event

Those who love gay films of the Latin variety will get a special chance to see them when the Miami Latin Gay Film Festival launches April 16, coinciding with Miami’s gay Pride festivities. But this month’s festival is actually a sneak peek of a larger festival in the summer.
Jim Dobson, a publicist who was head of publicity for the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival for seven years, was inspired more than a year ago to found the festival. Dobson says he stopped doing press for MGLFF because budget cuts would have substantially reduced his fee. He felt it as the right time to focus his attention on following his passion and creating a festival for gay, Latin films.
