Conundrum Stages returns to its foundation by re-launching The Ghost Light Series.

Established in November 2004, The Ghost Light Series was an independent project where local stage actors read classic and contemporary works by established playwrights; works included The Children's HourThe Importance of Being EarnestThe Cherry Orchard and Death of a Salesman.  By May 2008, in an effort to broaden the scope of performances, the Ghost Light Series began operations under a new name – Conundrum Stages. Ghost Light Series flyer xx

Every Tuesday in July Conundrum will host readings at Fort Lauderdale’s Empire Stage spotlighting other independent theatre troupes based in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Featured will be White Rose Miami, AAPACT, and Outre’ Theatre Company. Local theatre artists Elizabeth Garrard and James Carrey will also participate by having their works read.

The readings kick off on Tuesday July 10 with In Process: An Evening Of Original Stories, Featuring White Rose Miami. Coming off their acclaimed production of David Auburn’s Proof last year, the upstart White Rose Miami will share excerpts from some of the stories they’ve been working on for future presentations. Among the pieces: Low Tide, a short film, and Nightmares of a Loving World, an original full-length play. Founders Ivan Lopez and Melissa Almaguer will preside over the stories in various stages of development.
