The Twentieth Century Way

Island City Stage is bringing its inaugural production to Ft Lauderdale's Empire Stage. Previewing Aug 9, opening Aug 11, the play by Tom Jacobson won the 2011 PEN award for Drama. The Area Stage's conservatory students star in the musical The Phantom Tollbooth, Jr about a young boy who discovers adventure and imagination with his watch dog. Shakespeare Under the Sun at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden Arturo xxfeatures three outdoor plays produced by Arturo Fernandez from Ground Up and Rising. The first will be his hour long modern adaptation of Julius Caesar at 10 am and 3 pm August 4 and 11, followed by Macbeth on August 26 and September 2 and Danny and the Deep Blue Sea September 16 and 30. 2000 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach.
