For most people, the words “classical music” and “cutting edge” don’t usually go
together. But it’s exactly those words that are synonymous with Seraphic Fire,
Miami’s first professional chamber choir. The group, which was recently named by
The Miami Herald as “one of the two most outstanding music institutions”
in Miami, along with the New World Symphony orchestra, is only in its fourth
season and has already created a buzz. |

A salute to director Wim Wenders, more cash prizes than ever before and of
course lots of films for every taste is on the menu at the 2006 Miami
International Film Festival, March 3-12.
“With the amount of fresh perspective and cultural diversity in this year’s
program, the vision, spirit and stature of the Miami International Film
Festival has never felt more tangible,” said Festival Director Nicole
Guillemet. |
