How did you get started?
I don’t remember.  It was many years ago when I learned how to sharpen a pencil.

Who or what are your influences?
All those who influence everyone else who influences everyone else, who influence me and someone else…

What inspires your work?
The environment about me, that provokes me to think, ask and criticize.

How does Miami/South Florida influence your work?

Miami is becoming the most incredible cultural lab of the Latin American civilization at the dawn
            of the 21st century. In front of McDonalds at Calle 8, I can drink café con leche and eat pan
            con mantequilla.

How would you describe your work?
They are containers.

What has been the most unusual reaction to your work from the public?
I don’t remember exactly which was the most unusual reaction, but to be honest, there have been a few.  I respect everyone’s opinion, but I also understand that art has very little to do with the democracy.

What would you like to achieve as an artist?
I would like to think that at the end of the day, all my hard work and effort was worth it.
