Broadcast Designer/Animator
This list of duties is not exhaustive, and duties may be added, deleted or
changed at any time, without notice. Develop and produce graphics / animations
to support the station's newscasts, programming, promotional efforts and sales
related collateral material. Support the station's Web efforts through design.
Provide fill-in relief for Chyron - cross training will be made available.
Perform other duties as needed and as directed by the design director.
Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a degree in Motion Design or
related field and at least five years experience as a designer for the broadcast
industry. Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects,and
at least one 3D application. In addition, some proficiency with the Quantel
Paintbox Espirit, Hal and Curious Mapping Software is recommended. Knowledge of

Play Submissions For Reading Festival
Boca Raton Theatre
Guild is seeking original short plays for consideration for its 8th Annual Short
Play Reading Festival, which will be held at the Willow Theatre located in Sugar
Sand Park, 300 South Military Trail, Boca Raton, April 24-27. A short play is a
10-minute play or monologue. There is no entry fee. Playwrights may submit up to
three unpublished plays for review. Previously read or produced works are
permissible as long as the production or reading of the play has not taken place
in southeast Florida for the last three years. All genres are acceptable except
for x-rated materials. Playwrights will participate in a Q&A feedback following

Short Play Competition Seeks Entries
West Boca Theatre
Company and the Levis Jewish Community Center is sponsoring an original Jewish
short play competition. The theme of the play should explore an aspect of
Jewish life, issue or culture, either modern or historic. There are two
categories of submission: Adult or Youth (18 year olds and under). Cash prizes
will be awarded in both categories: First: $500 Second: $300 Third: $200.
Competition is limited to non-musical genres with a performance time of 8-20
minutes and a cast of no more than 6 characters. Submission must be original
and should not have been performed previously in South Florida. Staged Reading
performance of all winners will be on April 3, 5 and 6.
Deadline for submissions: January 10. One submission per playwright. Entry
fee: $10.

interested in covering the Miami/South Florida arts scene. This is a perfect
opportunity for students and up and coming photographers to increase their
portfolios, get experience, have their work be seen and make contacts. We need
assignment photographers who can take both candid and posed digital photos at
events, get the names of the people in the photographs and send everything off
promptly to our Photo Editor. Experience in resizing photos to our
specifications is a plus. As the e-zine is produced by a non-profit

MiamiARTzine.com is currently seeking submissions of
unpublished short fiction. Any South Florida writer is encouraged to submit
their work. MiamiARTzine.com is presented by the Miami Beach Arts Trust, a
nonprofit organization dedicated to raising the awareness of the arts in South
Florida and nurturing the voices of those involved in the arts. That said, we
cannot pay monetarily, but writers would have a chance to have their work seen
by our 4,000-plus subscribers and count it as a publication credit.
