How did you get started?
My Aunt Marie gave me a watercolor set when I was 14 years old.
Who or what are your influences?
Sargeant, Homer, Prendergast, Wyeth and Walt Disney Studios
What inspires your work?
The city and country environments I live in and visit and the people within these environments.
How does Miami/South Florida influence your work?
The abundant light gives me an opportunity to use brilliant and bright colors.
How would you describe your work?
Representational—a bit realistic and a bit impressionistic.
What has been the most unusual reaction to your work from the public?
How I get my watercolors so saturated with color—not washy or light like other watercolor artist's work.
What would you like to achieve as an artist?
I like to achieve a response in my audience (the viewer) of serenity, surprise, delight and wonderment
