Orchestra Miami's 2018-19 Family Fun Series at Pinecrest Gardens begins on Sunday, Nov. 18 with "Tough Turkey in the Big City: A Feathered Tale." According to director Elaine Rinaldi, "Hero Tom Turkey decides that he will leave Farmer Brown’s Farm to explore the Big City. What kind of adventures await?"

It's a Thanksgiving treat for the whole family, written in the style of an old-fashioned radio play with music by Bruce Adolphe and story by Louise Gikow. "Tough Turkey"   will be performed by the chamber ensemble of Orchestra Miami, along with special guest dancer Rome Saladino as Tom Turkey and narrated by the incredible Chaz Mena. To complete the Thanksgiving experience, the grand finale is a sing-along of “Over the River”!

The performance begins at 3 p.m. at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 SW 57 Avenue, Pinecrest, and lasts approximately one hour. Before the show, there's an . instrument petting zoo, provided by Allegro Music Center, and after the show, complimentary cookies and juice.
