miamiartzine 9th Anniversary Party

Arts Supporters Dance The Night Away, Celebrate Online Magazine

miamiartzine.com celebrated its 9th anniversary with more than 150 guests in attendance at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden on Monday, Oct. 27.

It was an evening filled with food, drinks, music, live dance performance, art shows, a silent auction and awards ceremony.

Guests lined up for entrée and dessert crepes by CrêpeMaker®, donated by Christopher Hoffman and Maria Suñe. Palm Beach artist Naomi Cordero showed off her large "Faces"art works, while Sid Daniels discussed his nine-piece art show that he installed on the back wall of the Botanical Garden space.

Cachi and his Salsa Jazz Ensemble, a performance donated by Kim-KCC Productions, kept guests dancing and the outdoor space of the garden lively.

After an awards ceremony, which introduced award winners, arts supporter Merle Weiss, and Art Center/South Florida for its 30 years of providing arts and culture on Lincoln Road, Brigitte Cormier Dance presented a dance installation in the gardens. Guests were invited to participate by placing flowers on a painting while the troupe of four dancers performed.

A silent auction saw patrons lining up to bid on items such as art work, hotel stays, restaurant gift certificates, designer jewelry and clothing, theater, dance and opera tickets, and other out on the town items.

Libations were provided by Desperados Blended Lager, "a one of a kind beverage crafted at the crossroads of beer and spirits techniques," and board member Paul Vignette donated wine.
