With a voice that resonates with the depth and richness of her heritage, she weaves a tapestry of rhythms and melodies that transport listeners to the majestic landscapes of the Andes. To add to the magic of the evening, Norte Sur, renowned for their vibrant fusion of traditional and contemporary tunes, will be joining us for an unforgettable happening at our new stage on Flagler Street.

Mari Bell is a multifaceted performer and educator with a diverse background. She brings a wealth of experience from her extensive performance career in New York and Fort Lauderdale, where she has delighted audiences as a solo pianist and ensemble leader. Mari is also the creator of JazzSLAM (Jazz Supports Language Arts & Math), an innovative program that teaches academic skills through music, reaching over 70,000 students in both public and private schools.

 Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami

"Bound/Unbound"

Alexandra Fields O’Neale presents "Bound//Unbound" as part of MOCA's Welcome To Paradise program. The immersive installation uses sonic narratives to depict the experience of transatlantic enslavement and the quest for freedom via the saltwater railroads to the Bahamas. Within the installation, visitors can journey between two structures symbolizing enslavement and freedom, experiencing atmospheric and sonic transformations.
