Dear Everything Tour stops at Miami Beach Bandshell for a One Night Only Show.
Dear Everything is written by Tony Award winner V [formerly Eve Ensler], creator of the Vagina Monologues. Directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus with music by Grammy nominee Justin Tranter and contributions from Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, Dear Everything marks the first artistic piece centering around climate change from V-Day. Dear Everything’s purpose is to inspire people to take action in their own communities as it relates to the climate crisis.Dear Everything follows a group of adults in a small town willing to sacrifice their forest for money, and the young people, led by Sophia, a teenage girl, whose determination to save the forest endows them with powers they never knew they had. It is a story that shows us what can happen when people break free from their individual mindsets to embrace collective action.
Dear Everything explores how young people are navigating the climate crisis and facing the prospect of a future they are being told may not exist. After a one-night-only performance at Terminal 5 in January, featuring activists and actors Jane Fonda and Rosario Dawson, V-Day is taking the production nationally with a brief tour – one-night-only performances in four cities in the U.S. this fall [Atlanta, Miami Beach, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City]. As part of the tour, renowned climate activist Maya Penn and V-Day have created the Dear Everything Youth Council, which will invite youth activists in each city to get involved and help host a youth art exhibit on site at the performances. Additionally, each tour date will also feature a different local community youth choir that will play a central role in the production as the Earth Choir.
