Live Arts Miami continues its MUNDO Live Music Series, and next up is Cymande - the legendary UK band whose genre-defying sound blends funk, Afro-psychedelic soul, reggae, calypso, and jazz.

Formed in South London by Caribbean-born musicians, the group released a trio of groundbreaking albums in the early 1970s before taking a decades-long hiatus. Their influence never faded - the band’s tracks were sampled by hip-hop pioneers like De La Soul, The Fugees, and Gang Starr, bringing Cymande’s grooves to new generations of listeners.
