The Jewish Museum of Florida |FIU presents Staged Compositions, a focused exhibition of selected works by Sid Daniels created between 2009-2025.
Bringing together large-scale paintings and works on paper, the exhibition examines constructed space, theatrical staging, and the intersection of figuration and abstraction.
Daniels' compositions draw from visual languages rooted in fashion, performance, and architectural form, resulting in works that are both structurally precise and visually immersive.
The presentation highlights key developments in the artist's practice over more than a decade, revealing a sustained exploration rhythm, movement and spacial illusion. Bold color relationships and carefully orchestrated geometry create a sense of both control and fluidity throughout the work.
Installed within the galleries of the Jewish Museum of Florida | FIU, the exhibition invites viewers to experience a sequence of staged environments that shift between narrative suggestion and formal abstraction.
