The Light of the World: Closing Reception

Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM - English

Join us for the Closing Reception of The Light of the World a Christ-centered exhibition exploring how artists across centuries and cultures have depicted Jesus Christ. This is your final opportunity to experience the exhibition before it closes, and we invite you to RSVP to attend.

For nearly two thousand years, artists have interpreted the figure of Jesus Christ shaping some of history's most enduring and visually powerful works. The Light of the World brings together paintings, sculptures, and drawings from the 16th century to today, including Russian icons, Renaissance works, paintings from the Cuzco School, late 19th- and early 20th-century Latin American art, and contemporary works by local and international artists including icons created as prayers in the 21st century.

Curated by Carol Damian, Ph.D. and Adriana Herrera, Ph.D., the exhibition offers an immersive journey through sacred art from Europe, Russia, South America, and the United States. RSVP to attend the Closing Reception and help us celebrate the final evening of this special exhibition.
