Located in Miami Dade College’s (MDC) National Historic Landmark Freedom Tower, Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at Miami Dade College (MDC) offers groundbreaking exhibitions and programs that aim to foster a reimagined Miami. It is designed to make art accessible to all in the community, as well as visitors. Free admission on Thursday evenings will continue indefinitely. Currently on view at MOAD is The Body Electric, a major exhibition that looks at our fraught relationship to technology, particularly the increasingly inescapable interface between our bodies and screens.

Call to Artists for 7th Annual Art & Soul Virtual Exhibit

Business for the Arts of Broward is seeking entries from established and emerging artists for its 7th Annual Art & Soul. Selected works will be featured as part of a virtual exhibit on BFA's website throughout May 2021.

Work can be 2D or 3D and must be original in concept, design and execution. Selection is based on originality, creativity, workmanship and artistic distinction. The theme and medium are open, including (but not limited to) photography, painting, drawing, print making, paper art, fiber art, wood, clay metal, glass and mixed media.
There are no size restrictions or limitations for submitted work, but all works must be priced up to $500 and weigh no more than 30 lbs. All work(s) must be submitted as a 300 dpi jpeg file and artists may submit up to four different works for consideration. Artwork should be saved with the artist's name and title.
To be considered all artists must fill in the entry form at Website. There is no fee to enter but artists are responsible for delivery or shipping of artwork to the buyer, and BFA will retain a 40% commission of any sales.
The deadline to submit is Thursday, April 1 by 5 p.m. on the BFA website. All artists will be notified of jury results by Thursday, April 15.

Creation Art Center present "Fiat Lux" art exhibit by artist Ricardo Casado at the Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center 111 SW 5 Ave. Miami, Fl. 33130. The Exhibit will be on display until May 30 every day from 10 am to 8 pm."Fiat lux", an exhibition to pay tribute to creation, includes 19 oil paintings with back lighting. A panoramic tour places the Earth in relation to the Universe and man in front of the city at a deeper, sensory level. In a second room, he develops life on Earth and, again, the Universe, sheltering all of creation.

Throughout her illustrious career spanning thirty years, she has developed an unmistakable style through her hand-made vessels, stunning glazes, and intricately ornamented sculptural lids. This will also serve to educate the greater public in various artistic disciplines and continue to promote the Palm Beach Design Showroom's dedication to public outreach and the appreciation of the arts as cultural artifacts for generations to come.
Join us for this Red-Carpet Event. Guests and clients will also have the pleasure of viewing a live demonstration, live Q and A with the artists, followed by a cocktail reception. In an effort to welcome guests and clients back safely, COVID19 protocols are in place for social distancing, and Masks or face coverings are required in this facility.
