The Davis African Heritage Cultural Arts Center presents Suns & Shadows, a multidisciplinary exhibition curated by ROSCOE B. THICKE III. On view in the Center's Amadlozi Gallery November 14, 2025, through February 28, 2026, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Exploring the contrasts that define Miami its brilliance and its burdens..... Suns & Shadows honors the balance between light and shelter, past and future, the seen and the felt. It's a collective act of remembering and a testament to moving forward what we have been given. Featured artists Mark Delmont, Reginald O'Neal, Lance Minto Strouse, T. Eliott Mansa, and Mark Fleuridor examine legacy and transformation through sculpture, painting, installation, and textile, illuminating how identity is shaped by both memory and imagination.
ABOUT THE CURATOR: ROSCOE B. THICKE III is a Liberty City native and award-winning lens-based artist and curator. His work explores memory, place, and community through photography and installation. His exhibitions have been featured at The Bass Museum, Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), and Oolite Arts, among others.
