When Lord Murashige rises up against the tyrannical Oda, he finds himself besieged within the walls of his own castle. Isolated, he is confronted with a series of mysterious crimes that shatter the fragile order of his court, plunging the fortress into fear and suspicion. With Oda's army closing in and a traitor hiding among his ranks, Murashige is forced into an uneasy alliance with Kanbei, a brilliant and dangerous strategist held prisoner in the dungeon, as he must outwit his enemies and uncover the truth before time runs out.

MDCA Away From Home: ARCA Images Presents - La Muerte De Un Viajante

Arca Images and Miami-Dade County Auditorium present "La muerte de un viajante," a celebration of 250 years of the United States featuring two great classics of American theater, directed by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz and Samantha Pazos.

Performances take place Friday, August 21, and Saturday, August 22, at 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, August 23, at 5:00 p.m.; Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29, at 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, August 30, at 5:00 p.m. at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center (WCAC).

This performance is part of MDCA's Away From Home Series, a program that consists of off-site events at alternative venues with community partners while MDCA is temporarily closed for renovations.

In celebration of America's 250th anniversary, the Coral Gables Museum presents the world premiere of Many Voices, One Nation: En Nuestras Palabras is a landmark exhibition exploring how diverse communities across the United States have shaped, and continue to shape, the American story.

Developed by the Allapattah Collaborative CDC in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution and Florida Humanities, the exhibition weaves together Smithsonian-curated content with local historical photographs, art, artifacts, video testimonials, and oral histories. Visitors will encounter narratives of expansion, freedom, inclusion, equality, migration, and cultural negotiation drawing particular attention to the voices of Caribbean and Latin American immigrants whose stories are woven into the fabric of South Florida and the nation.

As the country marks 250 years of nationhood, this exhibition invites all Americans to reflect on what unity means when it is built from many languages, many origins, and many lived experiences.
