The Polar Express

Sunday, Dec 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM - English

Come experience the holiday classic, THE POLAR EXPRESS for Family Day on Aragon at Gables Cinema!

"It doesn't matter where the train is going. What matters is deciding to get on."

Late on Christmas Eve, after the town has gone to sleep, a boy boards the mysterious train that waits for him--The Polar Express. When the boy arrives at the North Pole, Santa Claus offers him any gift he desires. The boy asks only for a bell from the harness of Santa's reindeer. But on the way home, the bell is lost. Christmas morning, the boy finds the bell under the Christmas tree, and when he shakes it, the bell makes the most beautiful sound he's ever heard. His mother admires the bell, but she laments that it is broken... for, you see, only a true believer can hear the sound of the bell.

Based on the classic Christmas story by Chris Von Allsburg.

This film is suitable for ages 5+

Thinking Cap Theatre Presents Cymbeline

Sunday, Dec 14, 2025 at 6:00 PM - English

Dubbed Shakespeare’s “kitchen sink” play for its generic mashup of comedy, tragedy, history, and romance, CYMBELINE is a sweeping tale of love, betrayal, forgiveness, and the resilience of the human spirit. You’ll laugh, you’ll ponder, and maybe you'll shed a tear or two.

In one of Shakespeare’s final and most enchanting plays, lost children are found, innocence is tested, and broken bonds are healed. At the heart of the play is Imogen—one of Shakespeare’s most courageous heroines—whose unwavering integrity, intelligence, and grace guide the story toward its joyful and just conclusion. With forged letters, false accusations, mistaken identity, and rolling heads,
CYMBELINE reminds us that even in the face of darkness and deceit, truth, love, and humor can triumph in the end.

Man of La Mancha

Sunday, Dec 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM - English

  • Written By Dale Wasserman
  • Music By Mitch Leigh
  • Lyrics By Joe Darion

Man of La Mancha, the musical that opened Actors’ Playhouse in its Kendall location and again at the Miracle Theatre returns to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary at the Miracle Theatre! One of the world’s most popular and enduring musicals, Man of La Mancha is inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ 17th-century masterpiece Don Quixote and set during the Spanish Inquisition. Cervantes, imprisoned and awaiting trial, leads his fellow inmates in a play-within-a-play that tells the story of Alonso Quijana, an aging man who imagines himself as the knight Don Quixote and sets out on a quest to right all wrongs in the world. Featuring a stirring, Spanish-inflected score with beloved songs like “The Impossible Dream,” “I, Don Quixote,” “Dulcinea,” “I Really Like Him,” and “Little Bird,” this five-time Tony Award-winning musical is a moving tribute to hope, imagination, and the power of dreams.
