Sunshine Jazz Presents Burgundee & Visions at The Lyric
Friday, Aug 1, 2025 at 8:00 PM - English

Cool off with this month's Sunshine Jazz Organization at the Black Archives and Historic Lyric Theater in Overtown.
Join us for a special summer double headliner show featuring two phenomenal Miami-based groups. "Burgundee" is a 5 pc collective featuring vocalist Beatriz Guzman, playing Jazz, R&B and Neo-Soul with a multi-genre landscape, currently redefining the standards for both live & recorded music by leaving their multi-genre landscape.
VISIONS is a genre-defying ensemble that delivers a powerful and innovative sound grounded in rhythmic complexity, global influences, and modern groove. Led by drummer, composer, and arranger Alfonso Velasco, VISIONS fuses elements of jazz, hip-hop, funk, Afro-Latin, soul, and world music into a cohesive and refreshing sonic experience. With each performance and recording, the band strives to blur genre boundaries and create music that speaks across cultures and generations.
This special double-header show will take you on a journey through original compositions, heartfelt lyrics, and powerful performances. Expect moving vocals, rich arrangements, and music that stirs the soul crafted with intention and delivered with undeniable energy. Whether you're discovering these artists for the first time or you've been following their creative evolution, this is the kind of night that reminds you why live music matters.
