The Miami Beach Pride Concert returns to Ocean Drive and 12th Street on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1 featuring a curated lineup of deejays and performers alongside dynamic Pride-themed visuals that illuminate the Art Deco facade.

Saturday’s program includes music by DJ La Trice, a live electronic violin set by Siobhan Cronin. The classically-trained violinist is known for her crossover performances with a rock and metal flair. She has performed with numerous international artists and touring shows, including Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, and the band STARSET, and is the co-founder of the Wynwood Trio.

Also in Saturday’s line up is tenor Gerardo Jose Ortega. Ortega received his Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance from the University of Florida at New World School of the Arts. He is the Artistic Administrator of the Downtowner Concert Series and Director of Music at the First United Methodist Church of Miami. His most recent stage credits include performing Lysander in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Miami Music Festival, Danilo in Léhar’s The Merry Widow with the Barry Opera Theatre, and Nemorino in Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore with the New World Opera Theatre. Stage credits also include the title role of Faust with Coral Gables Opera, Fenton in Verdi’s Falstaff and the Italian Singer in Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier with Harrower Opera, Parpignol in La Boheme, Dombé in Lakmé with the Florida Grand Opera, and Tamino in Die Zauberflöte with the Riuniti Opera.

The Tides will become a palette for art as a luminous centerpiece brings the building alive through projection mapping by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival.

Festivities begin at 8:30 p.m.

The party continues on Sunday, June 22, at the Rooftop Cinema Club, South Beach, with the film “Layla,” presented by OUTShine and Miami Beach Pride.

There are plenty of seating choices to relax under the stars: Adirondack Chairs are $22 – a countoured seat, backrest and full-length cushion – add a popcorn for $3. Or cozy up in a love seat for two for $28 each with a complimentary bag of popcorn to share.

“Layla” is a film about a struggling Arab drag queen whose confident façade hides their desperate desire for love. When their performance at a corporate Pride event turns into a transgressive takedown, they are surprised to catch the eye of marketing executive Max, whose attentions sweep Layla off their feet.
