What happens when Peter disobeys his grandfather and wanders into the forest alone?
Find out in Sergei Prokofiev's Peter & the Wolf, one of the most iconic classical music pieces ever written for children. Learn about the instruments of the orchestra while learning some important life lessons as well through one of the world's most beloved classical music compositions for kids.
And speaking of wandering into the forest alone.... enjoy Bruce Adolphe's zany musical take on Little Red Riding Hood- everyone's favorite fairy tale about what happens when you don't listen to your mother! This fun musical illustration of the famous fairy tale teaches kids about musical motives and ends with a slightly unusual twist on the familiar story!
Both stories are narrated by one of Orchestra Miami's favorite narrators- actor, singer and all-around good guy, Lovell Rose. Performed by the chamber ensemble of Orchestra Miami, Elaine Rinaldi, conductor and pianist.
The concert is for kids of all ages and lasts approximately one hour. Stay after to meet the musicians and enjoy complimentary cookies and juice. Always free parking at Pinecrest Gardens!
Purchase your tickets in advance, as prices go up at the door! Advance purchase tickets are $10 for kids (3-18), $15 for Seniors (65 & up), $18 for Adults and $46 for a Family Pack (2 Kids + 2 Adults). At the door, tickets are $12 for Kids, $17 for Seniors and $20 for Adults, and the Family Pack is $55. All tickets are for general admission seating.
