The Cuban zarzuela Cecilia Valdés, considered a signature work by maestro Gonzalo Roig, returns to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Week 2025. This concert presentation will revive the musical pieces from the original, premiered in 1932 in Cuba, and includes artistic direction by Manny Albelo and musical direction by Marlene Urbay leading the Florida Chamber Orchestra.

Presented as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, event takes place Sunday afternoon, October 12th among the swaying palm trees wrapped in gentle ocean breezes on the Ocean Drive Promenade located between 14th Street and 14th Place.

Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and join us in Lummus Park, across from The Betsy Hotel.The Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series is a program of the Ocean Drive Improvement Association in partnership with the City of Miami Beach.

The ArtServe Member's Show: Florida Opulence will explore the aesthetics of Florida through the lens of the Gilded Age of America from October 10 through January 2, 2026.

This unique member's exhibition delves into the beauty, wealth and historical significance of Florida's past, bringing together a collection of stunning works that capture the essence of the state's opulent history.

ArtServe will feature two solo exhibitions awarded through the Broward County Cultural Division: "Please Touch" by artist Cary Daly and "Marking the Moments" by artist LuRu.The public is invited to a free opening reception on October 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. that will feature live music by the jazz band Totem Cave.
