Book, Music, and Lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein
Come from Away is the internationally acclaimed musical that tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 airline passengers unexpectedly grounded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, in the aftermath of September 11, 2001, and the community that welcomed them without hesitation. As the world stood still, strangers became neighbors, cultures met with compassion, and simple acts of generosity created lifelong bonds. Driven by a rousing, Celtic-infused score, this Tony Award-winning musical experience celebrates the best of the human spirit and the extraordinary capacity for good in the face of crisis.
