Gallery: Women of Inspiration Honored

The South Florida Symphony and the Women's Fund Miami-Dade joined forces on Oct. 16 for “Inspirations: Forces of Nature, Powers for Change,” honoring four women of inspiration: Tracy Wilson Mourning, Rabbi Amy Morrison, Maryam Miranda, and Ruth Greenfield. Event highlights included a performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons performed by renowned violinist Lara St. John, Elliott Jones reciting the poetry of his late grandmother Maya Angelou (who was also honored), and a Saks Fifth Avenue “Launch of the Season” fashion show, along with a yacht preview and art auction. The event was held at Seaspice Brasserie and Lounge on the Miami River.
