On Sunday, Artistic Director Matt Stabile will host the event from Theatre Lab's Facebook Page, while the performances stream live.
During the performances, audience members will be able to help support South Florida's theater community affected financially by the COVID-19 crisis through Direct Donations to the performers via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Facebook Pay, and other platforms.Facebook Page to Theatre Lab: https://www.facebook.com/theatrelabfau
"The Online Original Monologue Festival," a creative hybrid of Theatre Lab's Overnight Theatre Project and its existing Educational Outreach Program, put out a call for monologues while also hosting workshops online.
They had monologues pouring in. On Friday, they had already 50.
Through its Facebook Page, Theatre Lab presented Free,online writing workshops based on the workshops they already present to students in their educational outreach programs.
The workshops guided participants through effective storytelling techniques and the elements of a monologue.
