Life-sized jaguar sculptures have appeared across Miami-Dade County, transforming public spaces into an open-air art exhibition with a conservation mission.
The "Jaguar Parade Miami 2026" features 11 monumental jaguar sculptures painted by Brazilian artists and installed in high-traffic cultural destinations throughout the county. The exhibition coincides with the influx of international visitors for FIFA World Cup matches and aims to raise awareness about jaguar conservation.
The first Jaguar Parade was held in São Paulo in 2019 and was considered the largest open-air art exhibition in the city's history.
After Miami's public exhibition concludes on Sunday, July 19, all 11 sculptures will be auctioned, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Onçafari, a nonprofit organization dedicated to tracking, studying and protecting endangered jaguars and their natural habitats in Brazil.
